Stargazing in Boulder Utah

Capitol Reef Dark Sky Park:

Due largely to the resistance of infrastructure development in order to maintain a more rustic experience, Capitol Reef is a designated go-to location for some serious night viewing. With very little artificial lighting throughout the entire park, your experience is similar to what it would have been during the Pioneer era.

Bryce Canyon National Park:

Bryce’s remote canyon has been described as “among the darkest in the Southwest”. Due to its splendor, the park even offers regulatory multimedia astronomy programs, telescope viewing, full moon hikes and an Annual Astronomy Festival. For a list of these events, keep an eye on our calendar list of events as well as for Bryce Canyon.

For a much more convenient option  just look up! Out here in Salt Gulch and away from the big ol’ town of Boulder, we steer clear of any excessive lighting. Enjoy a night hike around the property or bring a blanket into the yard right out front of the lodge with a cold one and see what all the fuss is about.
