About the Lead Instructors
Dana Levy is a highly skilled teacher and Yoga Therapist and is incredibly inspiring and compassionate. Dana is trained in alignment based yoga and is deeply steeped in the study and tradition of Iyengar inspired yoga. She received a B.A. in Dance from Denison University, and M.A. in Choreography and Performance from Ohio State University. Dana has studied with senior Iyengar instructors Gabriela Giubilaro, Marla Apt, Paul Cabanis, Ramanand Patel, and others. With a background in dance and martial arts, she was drawn to Iyengar Yoga for its depth, precision, clarity, and awareness of mental, physical, and spiritual alignment Dana’s background in modern dance, bodywork, anatomy and kinesiology, and martial arts influences her style of instruction. Using yoga as a vehicle for transformation, she combines ease, efficiency, and coordination of body, breath, action and movement with precise awareness of alignment and structure.
Sammy Brown is a highly dedicated yogi and a deeply intuitive and compassionate Yoga Therapist with a passion for helping people of all levels experience more freedom in their bodies and mind. Sammy is a Level 3 Ashtanga Yogi and is widely renowned for his depth of knowledge and his passion for biomechanics and therapeutic alignment in every-day life. He incorporates classical techniques and philosophy to make yoga more than just an exercise but something rooted in tradition. Sammy has an incredible depth and breadth of knowledge regarding Asana, and the deeper yogic philosophies. Sammy encourages students to move beyond the limitations they have set in their mind, not just physically but mentally and emotionally. Drawing on his expertise in anatomy and alignment, Sammy helps people achieve a new found sense of strength and mobility in their bodies and in their lives.
Aron Stein is an expert in using yoga and meditation as a therapeutic tool and specializes in helping people increase their awareness and discover their true path. He has studied awareness and yoga traditions from around the world including Indian traditions as well as Taoist and Tibetan Yoga. Aron began practicing meditation 25 years ago, with a focus on Zen and Dzochen Buddhist Yoga practices to overcome anxiety and ADD. His yoga classes draw heavily from Anusara, Iyengar, and Tibetan yoga. Aron has been a director and resident at two Buddhist Centers. He has a background in psychology and Yoga Mentoring. He is the Yoga Therapy director at Inbody Academy and the founder of the non-profit Shift Yoga.
